My name is Frédéric – I am a boating instructor with many years of experience. At my boating school, AQUA SKILLS Zurich, you can take boating lessons on Lake Zurich all year round, where I will use my extensive experience, expertise and dedication to teach you how to handle a motorboat safely and professionally train you in all the manoeuvres relevant to the test.

In each boating lesson, I will teach you all the relevant content of the basic training: boat operation, safety, knots, manoeuvres, harbour knowledge and weather observation. I look forward to welcoming you to my boating school.
The prices for the boat licence consist of the costs for the AQUA SKILLS boat driving school and the shipping office. In addition to the costs for the boat driving lessons, there are also costs for insurance and examination fees.
The training area of the AQUA SKILLS boating school on Lake Zurich covers the area from Zurich-Wollishofen and Tiefenbrunnen to Oberrieden and Feldmeilen. There are two examination areas. There are several pick-up ports.
My name is Frédéric Meier, a certified boat instructor with a federal diploma. Since 2021, I’ve been teaching motorboat students on Lake Zurich with a calm, motivating and safety‑focused approach.
I earned my Swiss boat licence in 2018, and my passion soon became my profession. Today I combine solid training with practical experience to offer effective, enjoyable and personalised motorboat lessons.

Hervorragende Bootsfahrschule – klare Empfehlung!
Mein Fahrlehrer Frédéric von Aqua Skills war ein hervorragender Lehrer. Der Kurs ist strukturiert aufgebaut und vom ersten Tag an konsequent auf das Ziel ausgerichtet: die Bootsprüfung sicher zu bestehen und das Boot souverän zu manövrieren.
Frédéric ist geduldig, gibt gleichzeitig aber konkrete und direkte Anweisungen. Das sorgt für eine steile Lernkurve und gibt schnell Sicherheit am Steuer. Dazu kommen eine schnelle und flexible Terminfindung, faire Preise und sinnvolle Schulungsunterlagen ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack.
Wer gut auf die Prüfung vorbereitet sein und gleichzeitig lernen möchte, ein Boot sicher als Kapitän zu führen, ist bei Aqua Skills und Frédéric genau richtig.
Ziel anvisieren, mit einem klaren Schulungsprogramm Kurs halten – und am Ende als Kapitän in den Hafen einlaufen.

Frédéric ist ein super Fahrlehrer, sehr geduldig und erklärt alles verständlich. Ich habe mich bei jeder Fahrstunde gut aufgehoben gefühlt und war dadurch top auf die Prüfung vorbereitet.
Auch die Lernunterlagen sind sehr hilfreich und gut aufgebaut. Der Unterricht hat immer Spass gemacht und die Atmosphäre war angenehm.

How many driving lessons do I need?
The number of motorboat lessons you need varies from person to person. Together with your instructor, you’ll decide individually when you’re ready for the practical boat licence exam. On average, most students require 15 to 20 motorboat lessons.
Can I start taking lessons before passing the theory exam?
Yes, you can start taking motorboat lessons before passing the theory exam. However, you can only be admitted to the practical boat licence exam once you have successfully passed the theory test.
